We'd been having a terrible leak in the basement for days. I thought it was coming from the second floor, so we contacted Barrington for the job. After inspecting the area, they concluded that the leak was coming from the third-floor shower, which had faulty faucets, and from a kitchen drain trap. They did a very professional job; everything they broke for the repair was replaced, sanded, painted, and cleaned. I'm very satisfied with their work. It was a pleasure to meet such honest and punctual people who kept their word and were reliable. They accurately describe the damage without exaggerating or lying. They also made sure everything was dry before painting, etc.—those small but important details that others often overlook. Gordon and his partner completed several unusual jobs beautifully for us. They reassembled (better than new) an antique dresser drawer that had come apart over its 110 years. They built a beautiful, hinged, lattice replacement door for under-porch access from scratch and completed several small tasks that had been on our list for years. All the work was done with excellent craftsmanship and done quickly. I highly recommend them.

Mr Gordon was so reliable and customer oriented. He was professional in carrying out his duties. I had him refurbish my basement, giving it a modernized look and feel. He installed a gym area as well. I can watch my sports as I do some workouts. His craftsmanship was so neat, and he ensured that it was completed in a timely manner. I love my new and improved "man-cave."

It took a few days for me to right this review but nonetheless. Pro Handyman Gordon is a top notch handyman. I would definitely be using his services again. For my job he was hired to hang mini blinds and a curtain rod with curtains. He was very professional, arrived at scheduled as a matter of fact he arrived ahead of time and got the job done without delay.

We contacted Pro Handyman Gordon to take a look at a few odds and ends that were in disrepair — garage molding coming apart, a towel bar that came out of the wall, windows not opening correctly, doors that weren’t closing properly. As I saw how competent and thoughtful he was, we gave him even more projects. He fixed our leaking drains and leaders outside, power washed our teak furniture and the side of our house and stapled stairway carpet that was coming undone. There was nothing he couldn’t fix. Pro Handyman Gordon was by far the best handyman we have ever hired. I also liked that he and his crew were very tidy and respectful of our space. Floors or were always covered where they worked.

Barrington saved us- we’d been struggling to find someone for weeks and weeks to install a washer/dryer for us, and people would agree to come and then never show up or respond to calls or messages. A friend recommended Barrington. Not only was he reliable, prompt and responsive, the work is great- it was a complicated job and he did a great job, and when the machine needed to be adjusted after installation he came back as soon as he could. We are so happy to have found him and recommend him highly!

Gordon helped me out quickly when it seemed like every other handyman couldn't be bothered. An old doorknob broke in our house and kept falling off, making the door almost unusable. Gordon was there in 2 hours, replaced it with parts he had in his truck, and was very clear about his plan and what he was going to do. The end result is beautiful and now our door works again. The price was very fair. Highly recommend!

Amazing. Here is the story: My wife and I been through so many “specialists” to figure out what was going on with the pipes/toilets in my new house. I have four bathrooms and they all had the same problem (wasn’t able to flush twice because the water would burst out the pipes and into the walls). It was so frustrating not just because I didn’t detect the problem until it was too late before buying the house, but also because of all these other handyman/plumbers that tried to rip me off and never fixed it (even some tried to sell me new toilets!) until we found Barrington that fixed it all within a couple of days. So he found out that all the toilets were missing a critical piece that connects the toilets to the pipes (mf cheap contractors, the piece isn’t even expensive). While Barrington is located in NJ, another handyman from Brooklyn that was also recommended to us brought Barrington to this area because of Barrington’s plumbing skills. It paid off!. Such well rounded professional in all aspects: on time, assertive, fast and PERFECT work (neat!!!), proactive, great pricing and straight up honest. Plus, he fixed an outdoor pipe that was causing a bit of leaking in the basement within a couple of hours, without previously knowing what was causing the problem (he figure it out in about 10’). Highly recommended, and usually I don’t get into writing any reviews, because I always expect professionalism, but after all I went through I felt like others deserve to know. I went out my way because Barrington saved the house. I was about selling it. So thankful to him.
